Shipping containers Jandowae

Forty-five minutes north of Dalby, under the Bunya Mountains, in wheat and grazing country. A small town with a lot of district around it, and the sort of place where people buy a container because the alternative is driving to Dalby every time they need a spanner.

Why containers turn up on Jandowae blocks

Around Jandowae it's mostly farm workshop stores, hay and fencing materials under cover, feed and stock gear, and lock-up storage on blocks that aren't lived on full-time. Same starting point regardless: what you're storing, how long for, and what the approach looks like. Everything else falls out of those three answers.

Guide pricing only, ex GST — what you pay delivered depends on where you are and what's in the yard that week. Ring (07) 4516 5999 and we'll give you a real number, not a range. Cartage to Jandowae goes into the same figure — one price, nothing added on later.

Security on a place that's empty on weekdays

A lot of blocks around Jandowae are worked rather than lived on, and that's exactly the profile that gets visited. Pumps, fuel, tools, batteries and anything else that lifts into a ute tray disappear from properties out this way regularly enough that most people have a story.

Steel with a lock box is the cheapest genuine deterrent going. Two things make it work better: put it where it can be seen from the road or the house rather than hidden for tidiness, and use a proper shrouded padlock in the box rather than a hardware-shop shackle sitting out in the open.

One delivery, done properly

Out here a wasted truck run costs everyone, so we'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone than turn up and find out. The questions are always the same: how the last stretch of approach is formed, when it last rained, what the grid is rated to, whether there's anything overhead, and where exactly you want it facing.

That last one is worth thinking about before we arrive. Doors facing away from the prevailing weather, and enough room in front of them to actually swing both leaves and get a pallet in. It's obvious once it's wrong.

Getting a truck in around Jandowae

Town deliveries here are simple enough — quiet streets, big blocks, plenty of room. The district is where it needs thought. Some of the country running towards the Bunyas is undulating and the good flat spot isn't always near the shed, and long unsealed approaches after rain are the ordinary reason we move a delivery date. Grids are the other one: a lot of them out this way predate the trucks that now have to cross them, and a loaded sidelifter is heavy. If you're unsure what yours is rated to, say so and we'll work around it.

Beyond the local detail, every drop needs the same basics — a surface that won't give way, a lined-up approach, and no obstruction above. A couple of photographs beat any verbal description. There's more in the delivery access guide.

Jandowae — common questions

Do you deliver to Jandowae?

Yes — Jandowae, Bell, Kaimkillenbun and the country under the Bunyas are all part of our normal northern run out of Dalby. Freight is quoted with the container.

Can the truck cross my grid?

Depends entirely on the grid. A loaded sidelifter is heavy and older farm grids often aren't rated for it. If you don't know what yours will take, tell us and we'll plan an alternative approach or a different truck rather than find out the hard way.
