As-is grade: Buying as-is? Those units go as seen and carry no watertight promise. Only cargo-worthy and new single-trip stock is checked wind and watertight.
Height, and somewhere for the moisture to go
The headroom is the obvious reason: at 2.69m inside, a person stands and works at a bench without stooping, which is why farm workshops and crib rooms are nearly always built in a high cube.
The second reason is airflow. Hot Downs afternoons followed by clear, cold nights make sealed steel sweat on the underside of the roof, and it gets blamed on a leak.
